Next week are the last two days for the public bill committee to complete the line-by-line scrutiny of the Natiponlaity and Borders Bill. There are new clauses left including amendments for the inclusion of the Chagossian children of descent and spouse immigration clauses. Also, the inclusion of the families of the Hong Kong armed forces members & their families.
We should expect political maneuvering on this. The Chaggosian clauses are going to be re-introduced at the report stage by Henry Smith MP. We are hoping they will be accepted and join the passage of this bill.
